004 - [Action/Written]

[When had Dhaos returned to Luceti...? On the first of August, as he recalled. With the kidnapping effect in place, the confusion in its subsequent removal, the return of Luceti Land, and the draft, Dhaos has had little time to reflect on anything that has happened since then. But now that everything has quieted down again, he can think...

If you are content to wait and let time take its course, then the world will have returned to nothingness long before you recall your purpose.

Those words were not meant for Dhaos, but the truth in them rang clear in his ears. Time might not move while he stays in Luceti, but he is no closer to saving Derris-Kharlan than he was when he arrived-- or when he left. And he's been in Luceti for half a year now.  Regardless of how helpless he might seem, sitting here and doing nothing would get him nowhere.  There was a planet waiting for him.

He doesn't trust the humans and half elves. Arche is an enemy. Kratos is a mystery. Yuan, while apparently trustworthy as far as Dhaos has seen, already knows more than him-- and is too intelligent for Dhaos to risk widening the knowledge gap between them by telling him what he knows. That leaves one person-- the one person from Aselia Dhaos knew for absolute certain would never intentionally compromise him.]

[Written, Filtered to Martel: 80%]

Forgive me, but there is

[The filter breaks.

...

Dhaos closes the journal and hurls it into the opposite wall. Sorry, Luceti, no announcements from him.  Feel free to question the filter failure-- or not.

Anywho, regardless of his mood when she arrives, [livejournal.com profile] lostinmyway has decided it's about time she fulfilled that promise to introduce Dhaos to all her friends. If you are on Grune's CR chart, if you have ever spoken to Grune even once, or even if you've never met either of them in your life, Grune wants you to meet Dhaos. Come make the poor Demon King's life as awkward as possible!  He's also available at night, as always.]

[Grune is so lucky she has so many wonderful friends, all ready to help her and Dhaos out! Helios might be a newer friend, but that doesn't mean he's any less precious to her.

And soon, he'll be precious to Dhaos, too!]
Hello, Helios!
folklorist: (Peaceful: You wanted to talk?)

[ And at the sound of Grune's greeting Helios will turn around with a smile and a wave. ] Ah! Hello Grune. How are you- [ he notes Dhaos giving a friendly nod at him ] -and, ah, your friend doing.

[ He was her friend right? No, duh, obviously Helios. Silly question to ask. ]
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

Oh, I'm very good!

[And now, she should introduce Dhaos to him.] This is Dhaos. He's one of my very good friends.
folklorist: (Ever so curious)

Wonderful, wonderful. [ Helios turns to the other. ]

It's a pleasure to meet you as well. [ A nod. ] Yes it's Helios.

[ There is a brief pause. ] Ah...are you two going to the play tonight?
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

Yes! That's right. You should come. A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's a wonderful play from my world.

And everyone has been working very hard!

[Including her! Frederic, intelligent man that he is, put her to work painting flowers on the sets.]

[ Oh yes. Very much so. Helios nods. ]

Yes, well, Luceti does tend to bring that out in people. But I do hope you'll attend. I believe this will be one of the first times this has happened here. [ Hm. ]

It's almost like making Lucetian history. [ A light laugh from him. ]

Oh, then it's very important that we go, isn't it? [Right, Dhaos?]

Yes, exactly. Everyone is welcomed to view it. Not just people in the production. [ A smile. ]

A Midsummer Night's Dream is a very interesting play. You might like it. [ Said more towards Dhaos. He keeps his smile up though. ]

At any rate there's also the party afterwards if you're not big on plays. Lots of food and sweets...can never forget those.

Oh, my, that sounds like fun. It'll be like a big picnic, only indoors!

[And you love sweets and picnics, Dhaos.]
folklorist: (Oh is that right)

[ Helios chuckles. ] Yes you could say that.

There will be plenty of food and people I'm sure. It's being held with the new feather welcoming party actually. And a first time for everything, hm? Unless of course big parties and the like aren't your thing. Nothing wrong with that either.

[ Helios wasn't very fond of them back in the day either. But running a school and parent teacher night...made for some rather big parties over the years. ]

Used to? [ Helios looks inquiringly at Dhaos before looking away. Probably none of his business. ] Ah, well, I-I suppose everyone has their reasons. But yes. The new arrivals certainly need all the support and events they can get. Keeping one's mind off of things tends to help ease away the homesickness.

And they can make all kinds of new friends at the party.
