[There's been... a lot going on recently. Between threats from the Malnosso and the recent violence in the village itself, it's beginning to feel a little hectic around here.

Once the sun starts going down, when it's not quite as hot out, Dhaos makes his way out to the forest (way out to the forest: he even flies to make more distance) and just starts lighting it up. He hasn't used magic properly in a long time, so he's working out any kinks that may have developed since then now, and then moving on to pointlessly impressive spells. Things like Tetra Spell and its constituent spells, Flare Tornado, and generally hideously flashy stuff he would never dream of doing anywhere near the village. He could just use the Battle Dome, but, well... it still leaves a bad taste in his mouth. He'll be out there well after night falls, but feel free to catch him on his way out of the village, or on his way back in the morning the next day.]

[Grune, Norma-- why is everyone suddenly getting kidnapped? All at once? It was an entire year before Dhaos witnessed the kidnapping of anyone he paid attention to other than himself, and then within the space of a month, there were two. It calls to mind something he heard a resident once say over the journals; he can't recall who it was (though he recalls not thinking much of the person in question), or in what context, but the message stuck in his mind:

The second year is the hardest.

...Along with several other comments about how half-year residents are more optimistic. But anyway, it certainly does appear to be proving true, in Dhaos' case.

This train of thought leads Dhaos to realize that there is one other person he cares for that appears to be missing in action. It's a long way from CH3 to House 8, so feel free to catch him on the way over! And by now it ought to go without saying that he is randomly stargazing somewhere at night.]

whatdeheckisdat: (here are all the logics)
You know what, I'm probably going to cut the first half of the rest of my posts whether they're actually irritatingly long or not. )

Instead of gracing you all with yet another remark on the proximity and malevolence of the moon, allow me to point out that the Malnosso are not accepting mission registrations until next month. One can only assume that they believe we will still be alive and in proper condition to volunteer ourselves on the 1st, which would generally imply that they do not believe a local apocalypse to be terribly likely.  Unless they want to wait a week or so, they will most likely have some way to keep the residents alive, if indeed the moon collides with the village at all.

Feel free to be as concerned as you believe the situation calls for, but remember that the continued existence of the village is in the Malnosso's best interest.

[Dhaos isn't leaving: he can be found either idly wandering the village or, more likely, in the library again, passing the time by looking for something to read and answering replies on his journal. The moon makes stargazing a bit of an impossibility, obviously, but he will be outside at night, watching the moon fall. Matter of habit, perhaps? He won't be on a rooftop, though. Probably fell out of the sky sometime when the power cap hit 100% or something.

He had to admit it was rather ominous-looking whether the logic behind it worked or not.]

Probably should have done this six months ago. )

Filtered to Martel, after Mithos' attempt )

[The filter breaks.

...

Dhaos closes the journal and hurls it into the opposite wall. Sorry, Luceti, no announcements from him.  Feel free to question the filter failure-- or not.

Anywho, regardless of his mood when she arrives, [livejournal.com profile] lostinmyway has decided it's about time she fulfilled that promise to introduce Dhaos to all her friends. If you are on Grune's CR chart, if you have ever spoken to Grune even once, or even if you've never met either of them in your life, Grune wants you to meet Dhaos. Come make the poor Demon King's life as awkward as possible!  He's also available at night, as always.]

TL;DR Ramblings )

Anyway, now that it's been long enough for Dhaos to think back on the experiment without throwing a fit or something similar, it's time to get something he's been wondering about straight. This is his first time using a filter, so he's not sure he has it done correctly, but he does his best.]

[Written, Unfiltered]

What are your worlds called? Do the people of different regions call it something different? Is there a meaning behind the name, or has it been lost to the ages?

[And after a minute:]

And if there is anyone else here from Derris-Kharlan, I would like to know.

[And he can be found reading in the library/on top of the library. It's been a little while and he still hasn't read up on any of the other worlds, so he's rectifying that today. And as always, feel free to find him stargazing at night.]

[After locating his wife and sending out a message for his other family members, Dhaos can be found around the village with Grune. They're supposed to be out looking for the other members of Dhaos' family, so feel free to find them wherever!  He's in a good mood for now, but with a wife as absentminded and busty as Grune, things are bound to happen.  And Dhaos is a bit of an overprotective husband...

...Yes, for those who didn't know, in this AU, Dhaos is married to Grune. Fun, right?  Tags will probably come from both Dhaos and the lovely [livejournal.com profile] lostinmyway .]

...

[Anyone hanging around the south side of town will find themselves a rather disoriented angel casting a wary, confused look around. He's wearing his headband and cloak/mantle, but underneath he's got nothing but the New Feather pants on. Yep, it's a new arrival. He'll change properly once he finds somewhere to do so.

Dhaos wandered into town after finding himself somewhere east of the southern river. His journal is tucked safely in the hammerspace behind his cloak-- he suspects it's magitech and would destroy it, except he'd like to know who put his name on it and what exactly it is before he does so. This place did not seem to be on Aselia... And most of the presences in this town seemed to be human, so he was definitely not on Derris-Kharlan. Untrustworthy though humans were, they were idle enough not to attack if he concealed his identity. He'll keep quiet until he learns where he is...  Until he can find a way to get out of here and possibly find another way back to Derris-Kharlan.  He has yet to find a Seed, and as long as he's alive again he's going to keep trying.

Alive again.  It was surreal and mind-reeling, but he decided he would put off his shock until he figured this out.

...Yeah, he's getting nowhere fast. Anyone want to help a confused Demon King out?  I apologize in advance for his untalkativeness.]
