[When had Dhaos returned to Luceti...? On the first of August, as he recalled. With the kidnapping effect in place, the confusion in its subsequent removal, the return of Luceti Land, and the draft, Dhaos has had little time to reflect on anything that has happened since then. But now that everything has quieted down again, he can think...
If you are content to wait and let time take its course, then the world will have returned to nothingness long before you recall your purpose.
Those words were not meant for Dhaos, but the truth in them rang clear in his ears. Time might not move while he stays in Luceti, but he is no closer to saving Derris-Kharlan than he was when he arrived-- or when he left. And he's been in Luceti for half a year now. Regardless of how helpless he might seem, sitting here and doing nothing would get him nowhere. There was a planet waiting for him.
He doesn't trust the humans and half elves. Arche is an enemy. Kratos is a mystery. Yuan, while apparently trustworthy as far as Dhaos has seen, already knows more than him-- and is too intelligent for Dhaos to risk widening the knowledge gap between them by telling him what he knows. That leaves one person-- the one person from Aselia Dhaos knew for absolute certain would never intentionally compromise him.]
[Written, Filtered to Martel: 80%]
Forgive me, but there is
[The filter breaks.
...
Dhaos closes the journal and hurls it into the opposite wall. Sorry, Luceti, no announcements from him. Feel free to question the filter failure-- or not.
Anywho, regardless of his mood when she arrives,
lostinmyway has decided it's about time she fulfilled that promise to introduce Dhaos to all her friends. If you are on Grune's CR chart, if you have ever spoken to Grune even once, or even if you've never met either of them in your life, Grune wants you to meet Dhaos. Come make the poor Demon King's life as awkward as possible! He's also available at night, as always.]

[Action]
[Might have been the only part he heard. Maybe.]
Re: [Action]
[Might have been the only part he wants to mention. Even if he liked and wasn't vaguely suspicious of Dhaos.]
[Action]
[Action]
He wonders what exactly has happened between the two of them, and Giles' vague answer is not helping his suspicion.]
...I see.
[He'll have to ask Grune later.]
Re: [Action]
Why do you keep water lilies all the way out here, Grune?
[Action]
[And neither would everyone else who enjoyed the fountain if they found plants growing in it.]
[Action]
[Considering how often the fountain is disturbed, they probably wouldn't grow terribly well there anyway.]
And the fountain is man-made, in any case.
Re: [Action]
[This might be showing off Giles' continued lack of skill in gardening, but. Even so.]
[Action]
Oh, but then they'd drift away and get lost.
[Action]
[Spoken more to Grune than Giles. It's somewhat endearing, the way Grune insists on speaking of flowers as though they were their own little creatures.]
Re: [Action]
[Giles finds it endearing, at least. It's certainly helped him in his constant struggle to provide for Willow the tree.]
Probably best that they're at the lake, then. I don't walk out this way enough, in any case.
[The last time he did would have been for a meeting with a certain red haired death goddess...]

[Action]
...Well. Dhaos can't answer this question, so he'll look away again and fall silent, as usual.]
Re: [Action]
[One reason in particular.] I just, um, n-never find the time.
[Action]
[Action]
[Just from what he's heard.]
Re: [Action]
There is a difference.
[Action]
[It sounds as though most people don't go to the lake with their friends. Isn't that the same as going alone?]
[Action]
[Dhaos can't decide whether it is for himself, though. With his best hope to save his world gone, allowing Grune to drag him around all day could be attempting to 'get away'.]
Re: [Action]
[Action]
[It's an odd thought for her. She likes all the things she does every day, so she doesn't understand why someone would feel the need to escape their routine.]
[Action]
...A change of pace, I suppose. Just a rest.
Re: [Action]
[It isn't often where Dhaos understands and Grune doesn't. Giles makes note of this.] I was just, um, a bit tired. You remember. [He knows she doesn't, but it's the thing to say.]
[Action]
[Giles is right--she doesn't remember, but she's sure he does.]
